Ko lab² presents, artist Blake Showers, a twenty-two year old Birmingham, Alabama native. Blake works predominantly in the medium of illustration, but includes spray paint and watercolor within some of his works. 

 

Showers attribute his passion for arts to his high school Alma Mater Ramsey High School, where he found inspiration in the school's art program. After graduating, from high school Showers furthered his education at Lawson State, where he studied design and illustration.

 

Blake’s education and innate artistic ability has afforded him the ability to conduct live painting experiences for local hip-hop group, C1ub AM. He has also, contributed artwork for the Raider Klan and Earl Sweatshirt, as well as Kid Zoom, Daze Tn, and Third World Marshall.

 

His more recent works include, a forthcoming manga called, "4Strikes" and developmental collaborations with Atlanta indie label, Awful Records.

 

The emerging artist’s future goal include, completing his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Pennsylvania, while simultaneously participating in a mural arts residency program in Philadelphia.
